Once upon a time – in regnal years of tsar David – there were huge flocks feeding in meadows. As fleece is a natural and ecologically clean product and people have appreciate it since a long, long time, both then and now, it gets used to create high quality and healthy products.
The biologic sheep-breeding farm “SMAIDI” which is located in Latvia’s “blue lake land” – Latgale - and owns approx. 300 sheeps is searching for a new ways to use their knowledge and has began to manufacture fleece products, those are blankets, pillows, mattresses, waistcoats, boots, orthopaedic belts, sauna caps and several other products – especially for children. As it is fact that fleece has healing qualities, the fact is also that therefore fleece products make a good influence to man’s health and blankets and pillows make sleep deeper and tighter. It is worth to mention that friendly farmer’s wife Vallija is still looking for possibilities to create new products.
